Hey Love Bugs,
This past weekend I celebrated my 26th birthday. The inspiration for my hair and make up was Royalty! Your birthday is the one day out of 365 where you should be treated as such!
Hair & Makeup
I created this style by using two packs of kanekelon braiding hair as shown is this helpful YouTube video.
Here are the products I used to achieve my makeup look:
- E.L.F. Poreless Primer
- Maybelline FIT me Foundation 355
- Beauty Treats concealer
- E.L.F. Duo Eye Shadow
- Cover girl lipstick
- Beauty Supply- eyeliner
- Beauty Supply- falsies
I wanted to do something different for my birthday, something that I never really done before so when I saw this Karaoke deal on Groupon, I thought it was a perfect idea.
The Deal
- A two hour private karaoke room rental for ten people with a $50 food credit.
How it works
Our private room came complete with a flat screen tv as well as smaller digital device to choose the songs and two microphones. There was a spacious sofa, table and a private bathroom. When we were ready to order, there was a light you flick on for waiter assistance.
The song selection was pretty up to date with many songs that can be currently heard on the radio, ex: Rihanna ft. Drake- Work, Beyoncé- Formation, Future ft. The Weekend -Low Life. And I personally believe that no karaoke night is complete without a few throwbacks as well, so I had to put Destiny’s Child-Jumpin’ Jumpin’ in the mix!
The food was Asian inspired cusine. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken dumplings and the crab Rangoon. Yummy.
The only thing I disliked about this particular deal was on top of already paying to reserve for 10 people, the established charged me an additional room fee. I wish this would’ve been explained prior too booking. Other than that I really enjoyed myself. Here are some pics.

Thank you so much for reading this post! I hope you enjoyed it!
Have you ever done karaoke? What did you think of it?
