How to Style a Pleated Skirt!

In case you haven’t noticed, pleated skirts are definitely #wardrobegoals. They’re worn on everyone from your favorite blogger (moi!) to your favorite reality TV star. Pleated skirts vary in length from mini, midi, maxi (try saying that 5x fast!) and come in a variety of colors and prints, ex: floral, metallic, solid). Since it is officially Spring, I figured what better way to bring in a new season than with a guide to styling this most coveted piece? So, let’s get it poppin!

Top Priority

There’s really no “wrong choice” when it comes to selecting a blouse. The options are seemingly endless. It all depends on what style you’re trying to achieve. For example, a collared button up or a blazer can add a professional look, especially great for work. A scoop neck blouse or bodysuit adds the perfect feminine touch for a date night.

Fancy Footwork

It can be argued that one of the essentials for styling the perfect outfit it the shoe! It can literally make or break an outfit. For this look, I chose a pointed-toe lace-up bootie. Lace-up booties not your thing? No problem! A regular pointed-toe shoe will do just fine!

Make a Statement

Believe it or  not, statement necklaces are not the only way you can add a little drama to an outfit. A clutch embroidered with an image or phrase will do the job just fine. They are perfect for storing small items like cell phones or lip glosses and they are cute af.
