Hi Loves!
For months now I’ve been contemplating on making different changes to my blog. Finally, they are beginning to be put in place. One of the things that has been on my mind heavy is a name. I started this blog four years ago as an outlet to help deal with the frustrations as an underemployed college graduate so I went with the most fitting name at that time, life of the college graduate. The blog has evolved from me ranting about my struggles, sharing my fashion sense and hair styles, touching on social and racially charged issues and even the places that I’ve gone.
As I’m growing as changing as a person, I wanted a new name to go with the blog. Something that would reflect the woman that I am today so I came up with A Black Girl About Town. A woman (or girl) about town is defined as- a socially active, sophisticated woman who frequents fashionable nightclubs, theaters, restaurants, etc (Dictionary.com). I thought “hmm, that sounds like me!” So I put my own spin on it and the rest is history. I wanted to notify you of that change because I didn’t want anyone to be taken aback by it and say, who is this girl? I don’t remeber following this person. Same girl. Same blog. New name!
I’m also in the process of creating a logo to match my blog which I’ll keep you posted on as well. Thank you for your likes, comments and follows over these past four years!!! It’s been a journey!
