Whether you spent time in church or with family, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your Easter Holiday!
In between church and family time, I got a chance to see Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice at the newly renovated Studio Movie Grill in Upper Darby, PA. The days of overpriced and undercooked concession stand food are becoming a thing of the past with movie theaters of this kind. Complete with a bar and lounge area, movie goers can also dine on real food while they watch a movie.
Prior to being seated, you are given a menu like you would in any restaurant. The only difference here is when you’re ready to order, you press a button that is attached to the table top seat for assistance.
As a newbie to the movie/dining experience, I’d highly recommend getting there ahead of time if you plan on ordering a meal. The first time I felt more focused on the food than the movie. Part of that could’ve been due to fact that my dessert was brought out before my food. Instead of my eyes being glued to the big screen, I was in a hurry trying to make sure my ice cream wouldn’t melt! It was a bit of a distraction for me!
This time around, I took my own advice and got there before the previews, giving myself enough time to order and enjoy my meal. The staff was friendly and fast. The food was on point and the drinks are not bad either. It definitely puts a spin on dinner and a movie!
What do you think of dining while watching a movie?
