My 25th Birthday!!!

If you’ve been rocking with me for some time, you probably know that I took a trip to NYC to visit The Wendy Williams Show a few months back. How you doin’? I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist! Anyway, that trip opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities where I gained a new found love for the Big Apple. I promised that I would return! So to celebrate my 25th, I couldn’t think of a better place to spend it! After all, they call me the black Carrie Bradshaw!

It seemed like everything was working against me to ensure that I wouldn’t have a great time. My phone broke the night before so I had to get up at the crack of dawn to replace it. Technology. New York traffic was being just that; typical New York traffic. When I got to the hotel, there was a discrepancy with reservations and my guests and I were almost forced to stay elsewhere. So not how I envisioned my special day. But it has to get worse before it can get better, right? At least that’s what people were telling me!

After checking in at the hotel, we headed to the bar to use our drink vouchers which were given to us for the inconvenience. After the day I was having, I really needed one! We headed back to the room to get all dolled up for a night on the town, or water I should say!

The Hornblower Yacht sailed across the Hudson, giving amazing views of the city skyline and landmarks like, the Statue of Liberty. It featured three floors, cash bars, a buffet and DJ! I had a great time!! I’m looking forward to doing it again!
