The Best Man Holiday; A must see!

So I finally saw The Best Man Holiday the other night. Don’t judge me. I wanted to give myself a chance to see the the original movie since I had never actually seen it from beginning to end. It came out when I was like eight for goodness sake! Anyway, it was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while! Not that you need any convincing but I’ll provide a few reasons why you need to see this movie if you haven’t already! But before that I’ll give you a brief summary of The Best Man.

It all started with a book

Author Harper (Taye Diggs) has come out with a new novel. Claiming to be a work of fiction, it parallels very closely with the lives of his friends. This controversial book awakens many suspicions to whether Harper, the Best Man and also best friend of Lance Sullivan, (Morris Chestnut) has had an affair with Lance’s fiancee, Mia (Monica Calhoun).

The Best Man Holiday catches up with the crew years later and the happenings of their careers, relationships and what not. This movie will have you ctfu- cracking the freak up- and crying too!

It was so inspiring to see such an intelligent black cast, all with successful careers both on and off the screen. The way the characters interacted with each other was so natural and realistic. It’s like they really are friends in real life!

And the movie just wouldn’t be the same with out Terrence Howard aka Quinten or Q. He kept the movie going. There was never a dull moment with his sharp, witty humor. It is definitely a must see!

Have you seen this movie yet? If so, what do you think? Will there be a part three???

Your thoughts,
